Local Food Plus (LFP) is an award winning non-profit organization that brings farmers and consumers to the table to share in the benefits of environmentally and socially responsible food production. We are committed to building and fostering local sustainable food systems by certifying farmers and processors and linking them with local purchasers.
The Niagara Local Food Co-operative is an innovative marketing and distribution system for local farmers, agricultural producers, and consumers. Essentially we are a virtual farmer's market. Instead of driving to the market on specific days, or driving from farm to farm, you can order online at your convenience. Every second week, beginning with November 4, 2008, you can pick up the foods you selected in one convenient location.Our products are available at the Niagara Local Food Coop.
A Project of Club 2000 Niagara, Niagara Organic Growers promote organic growing methods in the Niagara Region and feature a listing and map of participating Certified Organic or environmentally sustainable Farms offering everything from Organic Fruit and Produce, Herbs, Meats and even Wine.
