2008 was our first official year as a WWOOF host. We welcome anyone who is a fun and hardworking individual throughout the year, but need help especially in the summer. We also encourage people from all over the world to apply for a placement with us, however the two primary languages spoken in our household are German and English.
Located at the heart of the Niagara Peninsula (see map), only 20 minutes from Niagara Falls. We welcome anyone interested in working with us on our 240 acre organic farm. We raise sheep, goats, some chickens & grow crop on our fields. We also have a large organic vegetable garden which supplies our family with fresh food & make our own goats cheese. Our Wwoofer will enjoy a private bedroom, & will share the rest of the home with the family, including home made meals inspired by German cuisine.

◊ grow everything organically, and use ecologically sound methods on our land. For us this also means treating our animals and livestock with dignity and respect, just as we do the land.
◊ provide hands-on experience of organic growing and other learning opportunities where possible. On our farm this extends from the barn to the garden and also to the kitchen where you will find opportunities to learn more about using organic ingredients to create great meals.
◊ provide clean dry accommodation and adequate food for their volunteers. We are open to accommodating anyone's needs, as long as they are reasonable, such as vegetarians who will eat at least eggs (for those are plenty).
◊ allow for free time to explore the Niagara Region and what it has to offer.
◊ have a genuine interest in learning about organic growing, country living and an ecologically sound lifestyles.
◊ help with daily tasks for 6 hours or more, 5-6 days a week. Chores will depend on the season and what needs to be done. Sundays are always FREE.
◊ have a good sense of humor and friendly demeanor. We will treat you like family and hope that you will be able to fit right in.
